The picture and sound are clearer and sharper than analog cable, and digital cable allows you access to hundreds of channels, as well as On Demand movies and programs. Digital cable is available to anyone who has a digital cable box (additional charges apply).
What is On Demand programming or Video On Demand (VOD)?
On Demand is all the rage, and it's not available on satellite. Imagine having control over your TV viewing experience with the convenience of choosing from hundreds of hit movies, classic films, kids' shows and more - when you want to see them. You can use your digital remote to start, pause, rewind or fast-forward your selection at any time, just as you would with a DVD or video.
What is Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD)?
Depending on your level of service, in addition to On Demand programming, you can also enjoy many of your favorite original programs and movies from your premium services like HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and The Movie Channel on your schedule.
What is HDTV?
HDTV stands for high definition television, and is a programming service available through your cable operator if you have digital cable service and an HDTV-ready television set. Not all programming is available in "high-def," and you do need a digital HD converter box; but there is no additional cost for the box, or the service, if you are already a digital cable subscriber.
What's the difference between High-Speed Online and DSL?

DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line, is a modem technology that transforms ordinary phone lines into high-speed digital lines for fast Internet access. You must have a DSL modem and live within a certain distance of your telephone company's central office to get DSL Internet service.
